TEACHING PARADIGM is about learning the WORD, conditioning, control, closed, memorizing, reasoning, believing, following, afraid of making mistakes and exploring, fragmenting, compartmentalizing, boredom.


LEARNING PARADIGM is about learning the WORLD, awakening, exploring, being creative,  sensitive, experiencing, discovering, being open, intuitive, intelligent, playful, innovative, happy, humble, holistic, integrative, deep and boundless


Children belong to the realm of senses, body, and experience whereas the educated adult belongs to the realm of mind, thought and language. They belong to the world totally present to the now and is biologically wired to learn the real world. But early literacy and teaching numbs these processes and is replaced to deal with the second hand, decontextualized information. The conflict between children and adult is due to this difference.


Sensitivity allows us to see the child, learn about the child and respect the child's autonomy and their need to be. Freedom allows the awakening of what is inherent in children and their innate ability to learn is opened whereas teaching conditions the child to what is taught and creates boundaries

Let's explore what the world of a child is. And what ambiance the child may need.
Let's explore the natural laws of child rearing. 
Let's learn from children how to be 'present', to be in the here and now. 
Let's learn from them the art of 'being' and also being happy and content. 

During the event, there will be

Sessions to understand what is learning, creating knowledge etc

video presentations and discussions related to natural learning, creativity, why children play and make toys, how drawing helps the child in cognition, why is reasoning harmful and how it blocks real learning and creativity, what is intelligence, how children learn values , what is beauty and how to awaken the sense of beauty in children

About the facilitator

Jinan has been researching on the natural process of learning, damages of modern schooling system (cultural, political, psychological, and spiritual), Impact of literacy on human cultures and the life-sustaining wisdom knowledge of illiterate cultures. This has led him to study children very deeply as it is in childhood that our total beingness is formed. So not only how and what children learn naturally but also the total formation of the child has been explored, starting from how the human mind is formed, value formation, aesthetic sense awakening and what condition is conducive and what inhibits their true blossoming. He has run a radical experiment called re-imagining schools near Pune. With over 4000 videos on spontaneous activities of children, he has been able to decode the logic of children's knowledge making process. He also teaches students of design and architecture to learn to learn and to unlearn the damages of schooling. He with like-minded friends has formed Existential knowledge foundation to continue research. The foundation organizes workshops for parents, teachers, educationist etc to sensitize them on the true nature of learning and the potential of children.
