A coding camp for kids aged 9 to 15 years

What if we could reduce the learning curve and get kids codingall the while playing and creating music?


Coding (also called as programming or developing) is telling a computer, app phone or website exactly what you want it to do. Today it’s considered the “new literacy” and kids need a basic understanding of computer science to adapt to our constantly evolving world.

The workshop is presented by Sound Space; the musical coding camp is one of its kinds in India. Students will learn Ruby on Rails on a platform called Sonic Pi, a software developed by Dr. Sam Aron at the University of Cambridge


Take Aways:

Computer science concepts:

·       Sequencing, iteration and conditionals

·       Data Structure, functions and algorithms

·       Debugging and concurrency

Music Concepts:

·       Identify what a synthesizer is

·       Produce different sounds in various patterns to compose a music piece.


Dates:  Monday 5th June to Friday 9th June 2017 (5 sessions)

Time:  5.30 – 7.00 pm

Fees:  Rs. 5000/-
