Dear Friend,

Greetings from Udayan Care!

After having successfully held two such biennials in the past, the fist in 2014 and the 2nd in 2016, Udayan Care is excited to announce its 3rd Biennial International Conference (BICON) on the 16th and 17th of March, 2018. The BICON is being held every two years for the past four years and like the previous two BICONs, we are holding this again at Amity University, Noida, Delhi NCR (adjoining New Delhi).

The purpose of the 3rd BICON is to share and document challenges and solutions to child and youth care in South Asia and also learn from other international initiatives. The focus is on how to translate into practice the principle that residential care should be the last option, especially in the context of South Asia. This time we aim to build on the success of previous two conferences and expect 300 researchers, practitioners, policy makers and childcare advocates from across the world to share and discuss the latest trends on alternative care globally but with a focus on South Asia. Along with the concept note, I am sharing with you the draft agenda for the conference for your reference.
